Sarah Allegro, 99, died at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce, Florida on February 26,
2013.
Sarah was born in Carnegie, PA and moved to Florida in 1980, to live with her daughter
and son-in-law, Catherine and James Behanna.
Sarah was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St
Lucie, FL. Her hobby was crocheting, and she has been crocheting since she was ten
years old.
Survivors include her daughter, Catherine (James) Behanna of Port St Lucie, FL, two
sons, Anthony (Roxanna) Allegro Sr. of Tucson, AZ, and James Allegro of Carleton, MI;
step-daughter, Mary Jane Ashmore of Washington, PA; sister, Frances Villers of
Washington PA; brother, Tony Bongiovanni of Washington, PA; 12 grandchildren; and
several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Anthony Allegro, and stepson John
Allegro.
Friends will be received on Tuesday March 5th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, March 6th, at 10 AM, with Father Thomas O’Neil officiating.
Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, Washington.
