Marcella Pearl Cooper

Marcella Pearl Cooper, 87 of Washington, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, in her residence. She was born August 6, 1925 in Waynesburg, the daughter of Frank Jones and Mary Raipe Jones. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and worked for Presbyterian Senior Care in housekeeping for 13 years and Bell Telephone as an operator for 4 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. On June 10, 1947 she married Lawrence Wm. Cooper who died June 18, 2001. She is survived by her brother, Frank Jones, and her niece, Virginia Swaggard, with whom she made her home and several great nieces and great nephews. Deceased are two sons, Lawrence D. Cooper and Timmy Cooper and a brother Robert Jones. Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013 in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at West Union Cemetery, West Union, PA., with Pastor Virginia Swaggard officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, PA 15301.
