William J. Broad, Jr.

Wiliiam Jerra Broad Jr., 87 of Washington, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Washington Hospital following short illness. He was born December 22, 1925 In North Fayette, Allegheny County, the son of William J. Broad Sr. and Stella Gursk Broad. Mr. Broad served in the Army from July 1948 to June of 1950. Mr. Broad worked for Russell Industries in Bridgeville for over 25 years. He was a Steelers Fan and enjoyed Nascar. On May 14, 1955 he married Sarah Ann Conn, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Dennis Broad of Washington; a brother, Ben Broad of Kentucky, and two sisters, Mary Clemens and Isabel Hughes of Washington. Deceased are two sisters, Stella Mae Plance and Katherine Morgan; and a brother, John Broad. A graveside service will be held on Monday March 11, 2013 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in McMurray at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
