Catherine Foringer, 92, of Washington, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Presbyterian Senior Care, following a one-year illness.
She was born August 12, 1920, in Washington, a daughter of Florian “Frank” Sakerka and Catherine Rossini Sakerka.
Mrs. Foringer graduated from Franklin School of Nursing and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
She enjoyed spending time with family and shopping.
Mrs. Foringer was a member of Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church.
On April 16, 1938, she married Albert Merle Foringer, who died September 9, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Donald (Joyce) Foringer and Eugene (Nancy) Foringer, both of Washington; three daughters, Mary Ellen McCloskey, Barbara (Bernard) Desmond and Ruthann Coughenour, all of Washington; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five brothers, Emery, Charles, Theodore, Joe and John Sakerka; and two sisters, Helen Noble and Anna Kulla.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
