Dorothy Ann Alexy, 90, of Washington, died on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in UPMC, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness.
She was born on September 12, 1922, in Arden, a daughter of Charles and Marie Pape Alexy.
Ms. Alexy had been a housekeeper and attendant at Stewart Barnhill Funeral Home, for 42 years.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, word searches and talking on the phone.
Surviving are 2 brothers, Henry (Susan) Alexy, of Washington and William (Theresa) Alexy, of Wauchula, FL; a sister, Marie Alexy, with whom she made her home; 4 nephews, Denny, Billy, Augie and Eddie Alexy; 2 nieces, Becky Palfreyman and Debbie Alexy; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Deceased are 2 brothers, Charles and August Alexy, and a nephew, Charles Alexy, Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 16, 2013, with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
