Mildred V. “Midge” Lohr, 77, of Meadowlands, formerly of Claysville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the Emergency Department of The Washington Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1936, in Cumberland Township, Greene County, a daughter of Charles and Anna Pierce Rizor.
Mrs. Lohr owned and operated a personal care home. She was a past member of Claysville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion in Claysville. Mrs. Lohr loved going to the casino and playing bingo.
On July 25, 1954, in Winchester, Virginia, she married Glenn W. Lohr, Sr., who passed away December 21, 2007.
Surviving are her children, Vicky (Edward) Korowicki of Meadowlands, Glenn (Shea) Lohr of Whiting, Indiana and David (Sandy) Lohr of Linton, Indiana; grandchildren, Joseph (Catherine) Korowicki, Mark Korowicki (fiancée Amber), Garrett and Shelley Lohr, Michael (Maria) Hunter, Jerry Lee (Cinthya) Hunter, and Tiffany (Uriah) Resler; great-grandchildren, Meranda, Michael, Brandon, Tyler, Allan, Alec, Alexis, Isabella and Kaleb Hunter, Austin, Shayna and Zayden Barnes, and Madison Korowicki; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are grandchildren, Bryon and Kevin Lohr; and brothers, Lawrence, Donald, Harold “Red”, Robert and David Rizor.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at Noon, Wednesday, March 20th. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
