Mildred Mae Allen, 80, of Washington, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Presbyterian Senior Care following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 5, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of Julius “Jule” Moore and Grace Noble Moore.
Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and enjoyed horseback riding, polka and country dancing, traveling and shopping.
In 1949, she married Leo Charles “Punk” Allen, who died November 10, 2009.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church on Meyers Rd.
Surviving are two sons; Johnnie (Eleanor) Allen and Dennis (Sandy) Allen of Washington and a daughter Cindy “Cricket” (David) Lemley of Washington, five grandchildren; Johnnie Allen Jr. Casey and Cody Lemley, Kim Fox and Joie Durbin, six great grandchildren; Cheyanne, Dustin, Chase, Cole, Cody, Sabre.
Deceased are a grandson, Brian Mitchell, a brother Donald Moore, and a sister Gladys Wright.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. where services will be held Monday, April 1 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Jason Jablonski, officiating Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Ave, Suite E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
