Dollie Maxine McFadden Ottena, 81, of Washington, died Friday, April 12, 2013, in Country Meadows Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born October 26, 1931, in Baltimore, Maryland the daughter of Richard Charles McFadden Sr. and Mabel Kelley McFadden.
Mrs. Ottena was a member of St. Hilary Church and was previously an Altar Society member at St. Mary and Ann’s.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Western Center for over twenty years and retired in 1993.
She was very active in the Cameron Wellness Center Aquacise, a huge Steelers fan and loved her cat Trixie.
On January 6, 1950, she married John Joseph Ottena Sr., who died March 9, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Barry (Margaret) Ottena of Houston; two daughters, Rebecca (Doug) Burig and Regina (Jerry) Coleman both of Washington; three brothers, Richard Charles McFadden Jr., of San Antonio, TX, Walter W. (Sherlee) McFadden of Goldsboro, NC, Robert E. (Edie) McFadden of Canton, Ohio; a sister Sherley (Gil) Gilfedder of Washington; eight grandchildren, John and Christopher Ottena, Erica Jestat Garrison, Ashley Jestat, Linsley Burig, Gene Orlandi, Christin Orlandi Brown, Alexa Ferrari; four great grandchildren, Karly, Mya, Geno, Carter.
Deceased are a son; John J. Ottena Jr.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday, April 21, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 22nd in St. Hillary’s Church. Internment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to any Alzheimer’s Research Program.
