Juliet Vecchiotti Gonano, of Washington, PA died Friday, April 26, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 20, 1950, in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Anthony V. and Julia M. DiCesare Vecchiotti.
Mrs. Gonano was a graduate of Our Lady of Mercy High School in Rochester, NY, and of Nazareth College.
From 2000 to 2013, she worked as a Senior Services Coordinator for Presbyterian Senior Care.
Mrs. Gonano was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the I.C. Ladies of Charity as well as a former board member of Catholic Charities. She enjoyed cooking and traveling; Italy and Hilton Head were two of her favorite destinations.
On June 15, 1974, in Rochester, NY, she married Max A. Gonano, Sr., who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Max A. Gonano, Jr., of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughter, Christina A. Gonano of Savannah, GA; a brother, Anthony (Leslie) Vecchiotti of Honeoye, NY; three sisters, Barbara (Scott) McNeil and Marilynn (Robert) Varrenti, both of Webster, NY, and Virginia (Claude) David of Pittsford, NY; a sister-in-law, Natalie (Thomas) Sandretto of Monroeville, PA; aunts, Lucy Francolino and Edith Francolino, both of Pittsburgh, PA, and Mary Spinell of Plano, TX; an uncle, Mario DiCesare of Asheville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1st, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, PA. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh, PA.
