Patricia A. Earnest

Patricia Antoinette Earnest, 71, of Marianna, died Friday, April 26, 2013, in the Washington Hospital. She was born June 12, 1941, in Lone Pine, a daughter of the late Charles Warren Sowers and Clara Louise Swart Sowers. Mrs. Earnest worked as a lab technician at the Washington Hospital for over 40 years. She enjoyed reading, lighthouses, flowers and dancing as well as collecting leaves and coins with her grandchildren. She especially loved the yearly trips in the fall to Emerald Isle with her family and friends. She was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church for over 50 years. On August 11, 1967, she married Richard Earnest, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Kristen Earnest-Deems (Scott) of Marianna, Lynne Cecchine (Frank) of Amity and Stacey Coon (Jim) of Washington; Julie Earnest-Morris (John), of Marianna, who was like a daughter to her; three brothers, Gary Sowers (Geri), Rick Sowers (Wendy) and Brad Sowers (Shelley); seven grandchildren, Paige Antoinette and Joshua Deems, Gino, Dante and Angelina Cecchine, Gracey Louise and Tyler Coon; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. till Noon, the time of service, Tuesday, April 30th, in North Ten Mile Baptist Church, with Rev. Gary Schneider and David Earnest officiating.
