Audrey Ruth Chipps Gregg, 84, of Washington, died Sunday, May 5, 2013, in her residence.
She was born January 4, 1929, a daughter of Clarence F. and Nannie Kelley Chipps.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed being active in support of those with special needs. Mrs. Gregg was also an artist widely known for her ceramics and the inclusion of ladybugs on the many items she gave as gifts.
On January 19, 1948, she married Clayton E. Gregg, Jr., who died July 22, 2000.
Surviving are a daughter, Scherry L. Gregg of Washington; four grandchildren, Clayton E. Gregg IV, Stacey L. Gregg, Curtis Gregg, Jr. and Amy Robertson; several great-grandchildren; and four special nieces, Melody DePretis, Bobbi Gregg, Jody VanVarenburg and Surri Mowl.
Deceased are two sons, Clayton E. Gregg, III, and Curtis R. Gregg; a grandson, Robert H. Gregg; and a brother, Clarence Chipps.
Friends will be received Wednesday, May 8th, from 2 to 3 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington.
