Nancy Roberts Foringer, 72, of Washington, died on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 23, 1940, in East Finley, a daughter of the late Dorsey D. and Helen Miller Roberts.
A 1958 graduate of Washington High School, she had worked at Brockway Glass for 13 years, and was also a homemaker.
Mrs. Foringer enjoyed golf, and played with the Ladies Golf League. She also enjoyed painting, trips to the beach with her family, and spending time with her cat, Pokey. She is remembered as always having a smile, being a good friend to many, and having a great sense of humor.
On July 7, 1962, she married Eugene “Gene” Foringer, who survives. They celebrated 55 years of marriage this past summer, in their home, with family and friends.
Also surviving are a son, Robert Foringer, 2 daughters, Deborah Hageter and Lisa Laird, a twin brother, William Roberts, a sister, Betty Morris, 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Evan and Taylor Laird, and Mark Hageter; Jean Stollar, with whom she was raised, and considered a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Edward Roberts and a sister, Nora Roberts.
Friends will be received on Friday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, May 11, 2013, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
