Elna Mea Mounts

Elna Mea Mounts, 78 of Washington, died June 20, 2013. She was born July 3, 1934 in Washington, the daughter of Albert Huston and Alberta Reed Huston. Mrs. Mounts was a homemaker and at one time work at Paul’s Super Market and Dr. Stahl’s office prior to her marriage. She was a member of Claysville Christian Church. Elna enjoyed music, singing in church and used it as a celebration of her faith. On November 23, 1958 she married William Howard Mounts, who died November 6, 2009. Surviving are two daughters, Lori (Randy) Polan of West Alexander and Debbie (Ronald E.) Gardner of Claysville; three grandchildren, Joshua (Ginger) Polan, Jeremy (Melissa) Polan and Brandon Gardner. Deceased in addition to her parents are four brothers, Charlie, Russell, Roy and Albert; two sisters Erma and Wilma. Friends will be received Sunday, June 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 24, with Rev. Meade Lacock officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
