Judith Ann Samples, 57 of Washington died June 23, 2013 after battling cancer since 1996.
She was born October 24, 1955 in Washington, a daughter of the late Bryan Thomas and Helen Jerry Livingood Thomas.
Judith graduated from McGuffey School and received an Associates Degree from Penn Commercial. She was an Admitting Clerk at the Washington Hospital for many years.
She was a member of Washington Alliance Church, where she was a member of the Awania Club and a co-leader of LIFE group. She also enjoyed gardening.
On November 9, 1991 she married Leland Samples who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Joshua (Alicia) Edwards of Marianna, Leland Samples Jr. of Hickory; two daughters, Laura Lea Samples of Harmerville, Holly Sue Samples of Tampa, FL; two sisters, Nancy Simonelli of Bradenton, FL, Paula Thomas of Wales, United Kingdom; mother in law, Mary Evelyn Samples; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Jennifer Anne Edwards and a brother James Bryan Thomas.
Friends will be received Tuesday, June 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, in the Washington Alliance Church with Brian Greenleaf officiating. Please meet at the church.
