Karen Elizabeth Thompson Karen Elizabeth Thompson, 64 of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Shadyside Hospital following a 1-month illness. She was born, April 10, 1949 in Washington, PA, the daughter pf Harold E. Thompson and Lydia Mae Batch Thompson who are both deceased. She was a graduated of Washington High School and Penn Commercial. Karen was a clerk-typist at Superior Valve. She was affiliated with St Paul A.M.E. and enjoyed crafts. Surviving are a son, Ethan Thompson of Youngstown, OH; a brother, Richard (Dora) Thompson of Little Rock, Arkansas; a sister Denise Thompson of Washington; a companion of many years, Darson Williams; numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, James and Harold Thompson; a nephew, James Thompson Jr. Friends will be received Wednesday July 17 from 2 to 6 p.m. the time of service in William G.
