Agnes Elaine Manning

Agnes “Elaine” Manning Agnes “Elaine” Manning, 79, of Washington, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 at home. She was born January 22, 1934, in Altoona, the daughter of Hayden Alwine and Carrie Mae Gettleman Alwine. Elaine was a homemaker, who enjoyed the Meadows Race Track, the Pirates and Steelers. She was an avid reader and liked puzzles. On March 12, 1951, she married William H. Manning Sr. who survives. Also surviving are a son, William H. (Diana) Manning Jr. of Bealsville; two daughters, Margaret M. (William) McAdoo of West Alexander, Sally Ann (Harold) Berdine of Richeyville; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great grand children. Deceased are three brothers, Clayton, Blaire and Charles Horton; a grandson Harold Berdine Jr. Friends will be received Wednesday July 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. the time of service in William G.
