Anna Wyland, 92, of Hixenbaugh’s Personal Care Home, Claysville, formerly of Washington, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 19, 2013.
She was born October 9, 1920, a daughter of Roy and Goldie McBride.
On July 30, 1938, she married Joseph Wyland, who passed away April 19, 2008.
For over 30 years, she was employed at Interstate Foodland where she was fondly referred to as “Granny.” She loved working there and made countless friends.
Anna was a member of Friendship Community Church.
She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Westfall; a granddaughter, Terri (Jerry) Anderson; a grandson, Robert (Kim) Westfall; two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Razvoza and Gladys Goroncy; and a brother, Harold McBride.
Deceased are two sisters, Margaret Kimble and Stella Muncie; and three brothers, Ralph McBride, Harold “Hack” McBride and Walter McBride.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1p.m., Monday, July 22nd, with Rev. Dr. Paul Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
