William Eric Menni, 58, of McKees Rocks, died on Friday, July 26, 2013.
He was born December 29, 1954, in Uniontown, a son of Kathryn Albert Menni of Uniontown and the late Raymond Eric Menni.
A graduate of Uniontown High School, Mr. Menni attended Penn State University and graduated from California University of Pennsylvania as well as Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He worked as a professional embalmer and funeral director for many funeral homes in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Mr. Menni was active in his community, especially with his sons’ youth sports teams.
He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Masonic Order.
On October 24, 1981, he married Jody Hughes, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Jason Eric Menni and Jordan Christopher Menni, both of McKees Rocks; a sister, Barbara (Raymond) Juriga of Pittsburgh; several nieces and nephews, including Vanessa Juriga and Max Juriga; his father- and mother-in-law, Charles and Charlotte Hughes of Brownsville; brothers-in-law, Charles and William Hughes; a sister-in-law, Charlene Hughes; and several cousins.
Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 1st, in Trinity United Presbyterian Church, 79 West Fayette Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Dr. William J. Younger and Rev. Michael I. Orsted officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Uniontown. Those attending the service are to meet at the church.
