Paul William Gehrke

Paul William Gehrke, 78 of Meadowlands, died August 2, 2013 in the Donnell House. He was born May 18, 1935 in Coshocton, OH, the son of William and Edna Wilson Gehrke who are deceased. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War where he worked on helicopters in Korea. Mr. Gehrke was a retired mould maker having once worked for Metro Glass, Ball Glass and retired from Penn Mould. He was a very active Boy Scout Leader (Order of the Arrow). He was a member of the Houston American Legion and enjoyed fishing. On October 27, 1956 he married Mildred Brant who survives. Also surviving is a son; William Paul (Sharon) Gehrke of Canonsburg; a daughter Patricia Gehrke of Meadowlands; two sisters, Oneita Baker of Avenmore, PA and Carol Kessinger of Arcadia, FL; a grandchild, Timothy (fiance’ Aleea Yevins) Gehrke. Deceased is a sister Alma Meyer and a brother who died as an infant. Friends will be received Monday, August 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held Tuesday, August 6 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Schott officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens in McMurray.
