Ann Louise Brytus, 90, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington, following a one-year illness. She was born September 12, 1922, in Washington, a daughter of John and Matilda Hebner Landock. Mrs. Brytus was a homemaker and a member of St. Hilary Roman Catholic Church. She was a 52-year member and a past president of Polish Club Ladies Dart Ball Team. She also was a member of Claysville American Legion Auxiliary 639 and National Slovak Society and worked elections as precinct captain. On April 21, 1945, she married John M. Brytus, who died December 23, 1981. Surviving are a son, James (Theresa) Brytus of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Mary Ann (Mark) Hull of Washington; two grandchildren, Erin Wilkinson and Jonathan Brytus; stepgranddaughter Heather White; and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are five brothers, George, John, Tom, Edward and Joseph Landock; and three sisters, Rachael Brahs, Mary Primm and Ruth Cheslock.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 10 a.m., the time of service, Saturday, August 10, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Thomas O’Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
