Betty Virginia Cole

Betty Virginia Cole, 92, of Washington, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in her residence. She was born on November 1, 1920, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Harry and Jeanette Wilsman Casterline. A homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, quilting and going to flea markets. On March 29, 1941, she married Allen Thorne Cole, Jr., who died on August 26, 2003. Surviving are 5 sons, Allen T. “Butch” (Linda) Cole, of Washington; Terry Cole, of Carteret, NJ; David Cole, Dale “Buck” (Barb) Cole, and Patrick (Pam) Cole, all of Washington; a daughter, Kathleen (Harm) Hoffaker, of Leavittsburg, OH; a brother, Vernon G. Casterline, a sister, Bonnie Jirles; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Deceased are a son, James “Ham” Cole, 3 sisters, Dorothy Albaugh, Linda Casterline and Grace McVeigh; and 2 brothers, Harry “Ed” Casterline and William Casterline. Friends will be received on Friday, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 7, 2013. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery.
