Mary Earline Post Borsare, 85 of Valley Grove, WV, formerly of Claysville and Lantana FL, died Monday, September 9, 2013 following a two-year illness.
She was born January 15, 1928 in Washington, the daughter of Samuel E. Post Sr. and Mary Nellie Canan Post.
Mrs. Borsare was employed for 22 years at Bell South Telephone Co. and retired in 1988. She also worked as a clerk at W.T. Grants Store in Florida for 16 years.
Mary was a member of Elm Grove United Methodist Church and National Association of Retired Federal Employees,
The Pioneer of America. She crocheted bandages and knitted liners for soldier’s helmets in Afghanistan. She also made bears for children in homes and hospitals and ditty bags for the VA Hospitals.
In July of 1972 she married Colie Borsare who died October 12, 1992.
Surviving is a brother Samuel E.(Mary) Post Jr. of Claysville; three sisters, Nellie Marie Snyder of Washington, JoAnn Lilley of West Alexander; Jean (John) McCollough of Claysville and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a baby son, to her first husband Frank Eastham, who is also deceased.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA.
