Stella Bartusiak (Bartusick), 90, of Washington, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care, Washington.
She was born August 15, 1923, on her family farm in Canton Township, Washington, a daughter of the late Mykita “Mike” Bartusiak and Martha Sawczak Bartusiak.
Miss Bartusick was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg.
She was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of June 4, 1940.
Miss Bartusiak was employed for more than 35 years at Brockway Glass, quality control department, until her retirement.
She enjoyed living in the country and continued to live on the small family farm which she shared with her sisters Sophia and Mary, until their deaths.
Surviving are five nieces, Janice Bartusick of Encinitas, Calif., Linda Hill of Orange, Calif., Kashka (Dave) Warden of Lakewood, Calif., Debbie (Steve) McGovern of Henderson, Nev., and Cindy (Stuart) Reyburn of Henderson; and two nephews, Michael (Christie) Bartusick of Huntington Beach, Calif., and John (Jinny) Bartusick of Huntington Beach.
Deceased are two brothers, John Bartusick and Paul Bartusiak and five sisters, Sophia Bartusiak, Mary Bartusiak and three who died in infancy.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 166 East College Street, Canonsburg, with Father Joseph Jugan, as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Washington. Panachida services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
