Alice Irene Burt

Alice Irene Waychoff Burt, 85 of Canonsburg, formally of Washington, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at home. She was born August 8, 1928 in Washington, the daughter of the late Wilbert Matthew and Mildred Irene Ward Waychoff. She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church, Jessop Employees Club and L.O.O.M. #22, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles. She played Dart ball for Eagles, Legion and Jessop Club. Alice was a housewife and a wonderful mother. She worked at the Washington Hospital as a server. On March 23, 1946 she married Robert Ronald Burt who died January 7, 2012. Surviving are three sons, Robert Lee (Rosie) Burt Sr. of Columbus, OH, David William (Glenda) Burt Sr. of Washington, Donald Matthew (Marie) Burt of Canonsburg; a daughter, Evelyn (Gerald) Hickman of Richeyville; a daughter in law, Shirley (Sam) Burt of FL; a brother, Earl Wayne (Ruth Ann) Waychoff; a sister in law, Hilda Waychoff; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Deceased are a son James Richard Burt; a brother John Wilbert Waychoff and a grandson, Douglas Burt. Friends will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20. Burial will follow in North Buffalo Cemetery.
