James William “Mike” Ashbaugh, 64, of Washington, died unexpectedly, in his home, on Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
He was born on December 7, 1948, in Washington, a son of the late William David and Catherine Conti Ashbaugh.
A graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, he also attended West Virginia University.
Mr. Ashbaugh was co-owner of Polymer Grinding, Inc., in Houston, PA, and had previously worked as an ironworker in Wheeling.
A member of the HOG Chapter, he was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Jimmy Buffet and Eagles fan, enjoyed cooking, and was extremely meticulous and mechanical. Mr. Ashbaugh was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, #22, and the Arden Club.
Surviving are 2 sons, Michael William Ashbaugh, of Washington, and Joshua Smith, of Castle Shannon, and a cousin, Phyllis Doria.
Deceased are his stepfather, Earl E. Voelker, and a brother, William “Sonny” Ashbaugh.
There will be a gathering of friends, from 12 to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday, October 6, 2013, in the Moose Lodge, 2021 W. Chestnut St, Washington.
