Roberta Dicks, 60, of Claysville, died Thursday, October 10, 2013, in her residence.
She was born May 17, 1953, in Madison Heights, Michigan, a daughter of the late Robert and Lillian Kelpin Thompson.
Mrs. Dicks graduated from Madison Heights High School. She worked as a sales clerk at W.T. Grants Department Store and Hills Department Store and as a nursing assistant at McMurray Hills Manor.
Mrs. Dicks was a member of Taylorstown Presbyterian Church.
On June 19, 1971, she married Clarence “Rick” Dicks, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda (Glenn) Huston of Claysville and Deanna (Shawn) Powell of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, James (Julie) Thompson of Katy, Texas; a sister, Patti Thompson of Washington; and four grandchildren, Steven and Breanne Terrill and Kathleen “Kami” and Tyler Powell.
Deceased are two brothers, Bobby and Ron Thompson, and a sister, Doreen Thompson, who had resided in Michigan.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 14th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
