David William Burt, Jr., 35, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Sunday, October 13, 2013.
He was born January 9, 1978, in Washington, a son of David William Burt, Sr., of Washington and the late Darlene Anderson Burt.
Mr. Burt graduated from Trinity High School and Pittsburgh Technical Institute. He worked as a senior plumbing designer for Loftus Engineers.
Mr. Burt was a member of The Steel City Sanitarium Chapter of The Metallica Fan Club, Pittsburgh. He coached his son’s baseball team through Washington Youth Baseball, was an avid Steelers fan, and enjoyed NASCAR racing.
On February 14, 2004, he married Shelley Ann Paul, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Zakery David Burt and Zayden Douglas Burt, both at home; a sister, Davina Ruschel; and two half-brothers, Danny Burt and Duane Burt; his stepmother, Glenda Burt; his mother- and father-in-law, Joyce and Dennis Paul; three brothers-in-law, Robert Pattison, Steven Paul and Mark Burgard; sister-in-law, Sandy Paul; nieces, Morgan and Mia Pattison; nephews, Jacob Pattison, Camden Burgard and Preston Burgard; and a very large extended family.
Deceased is a brother, Douglas Burt.
Mr. Burt recently learned that he and his wife were expecting their third child in the spring.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, October 19th, from 9 to 11 a.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
