Melinda Joe Haddix

Melinda Joe Haddix, 57, of Washington, died on Monday, November 4, 2013, in the Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born on October 26, 1956, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Dorothy Waldron, of Pittsburgh. A homemaker, she enjoyed collecting dolls and beanie babies. In January, 1974, she married Sherman Haddix, who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, Sherman Haddix, III, Charles Haddix and Sebastion Haddix, all of Washington; 3 daughters, Tiffaney Haddix, of Pittsburgh, Melinda Cox, of Guyton, GA, and Felicia Haddix, of Washington; and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received on Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013.
