Daniel Elden Long Jr.

Daniel E. Long passed away, Sunday, November 10, 2013. He was born April 9, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA the son of the late Daniel E. Long Sr. and Kathryn B. Long Kirby. Daniel was a 1954 graduate of Lebanon Senior High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in 1958 from the Pennsylvania State University and his law degree in 1962 from the Dickinson School of Law. Over the years, Daniel practiced law in Lebanon, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Canonsburg, West Alexander and Washington, PA. In December 2012, Daniel was honored by the Washington County Bar Association for 50 years of service as an Attorney. Later in life, Daniel attended the Pittsburgh Seminary School and was a part-time minister for several small rural churches. Daniel is survived by a sister, Karen (Donald) Witter of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter, Sandra (Frank) Long-Johnson; a son, Douglas Long, both of Williamsport, PA.; several aunts, cousins and many close friends. At the request of the deceased all services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes. Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, PA.
