Doris Jean Yeager, 87, of Washington, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, in Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born September 27, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Harold Frederick Sweitzer and Hazel B. Rowley Sweitzer.
Mrs. Yeager was a 1944 graduate of Washington High School. A homemaker, she also worked as a secretary for Montgomery Ward and Liberty United Methodist Church, where she was a long-time member.
On May 22, 1947, she married Raymond E. Yeager, who died May 7, 2005.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond Harold Yeager (Carolyn) of Carmel, Indiana, and Ronald Edward Yeager (Sharon) of Washington; a sister, Carol (Gerald E.) Montgomery of Washington; six grandchildren, Sara Yeager, Christina (Eddie) Pelatti, Lauren (Nahum) Cook, Amanda (Derek) Wells, Jennifer Yeager, and Emily (Greg) Haggy; and three great-grandchildren, Collin and Grant Cook, Arabella Pelatti.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary Dever and Betty Duskey.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 27th, with Pastor Kevin Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
