Jacquelyn “Jackie” Jo Mosier Smith, 76 of Washington, died unexpectedly, Friday, December 6, 2013. She was born August 15, 1937 in Washington, the daughter of the late Paul Wayne Mosier and Bonnie Isabelle Dutton Mosier. Jackie was a graduate of Trinity High School the Class of 1955. She worked at the Meadows in track photography sales, Club Forty as a cook, the State Police as a tele-typist and W & J in admissions. She enjoyed canning, gardening, socializing with friends and taking bus trips. She was very active at the Washington County Fair, and was a Girl Scout Leader, Trinity Band Parent Organization and a 4-H leader. Jackie was a member of North Buffalo Church, the Moose, Lagonda Homemakers Club, a Parkinson Group and the Washington Socialites. She was a loving mother and grandmother, wonderful friend to many and loved her pets. On June 27, 1964, she married Robert Bradford Smith who died November 6, 2009. Surviving are three daughters, Bonnie (Benjamin) Rankin of Chelmsford, MA, Tracy (Michael) Tush of Washington, Rebecca (Joseph) Kolter of Washington; three grandchildren, Laura Rankin, Alex Tush and Jason (Erin) Kolter. Friends will be received Tuesday, December 10th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 11th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 12th at North Buffalo Church, 711 Rural Valley Rd, Washington with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Memorial Contributions can be made to Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10032.
