Evelyn Mae Bell, 82, of Portland, Connecticut, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, in Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, Connecticut, following a lengthy illness.
She was born July 22, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of Theodore A. Doman and Emma M. Buchanan Doman.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker and an avid Steelers fan. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and, before moving to Connecticut, an active member of its choir.
On March 29, 1967, she married Charles A. Bell, who died December 1, 1997.
Surviving are two sons, Charles A. (Kathleen) Bell of North Canton, Ohio and Kenneth M. Bell of Portland, Connecticut; a daughter, Sharon L. (Terry) Sharp of Portland, Connecticut; four grandchildren, Michelle (Ron) Day, Howard (Caitlin) Sharp, David (Rebecca) Sharp and Ashlynn Bell; and six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Lukas, Katie, Connor and Henry.
Deceased is a son, Howard R. Randolph, Jr.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, from 10 till 11 a.m., in First Church of the Nazarene, 1336 North Main Street, Washington, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Marty Bausman officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
