James "Grady" VanEman Burgess, 60 died unexpectedly, Sunday, December 22, 2013.He was born July 13, 1953 in Canonsburg, the son of Eugene Burgess and Joyce Webster Burgess.
James graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School in 1971 where he wrestled and competed in the State Championship.
He was a mechanic by trade and worked for Ron’s Garage, Al Rogers Garage most recently Donnella’s Body Shop.
Surviving are a son, James VanEman Curtis of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Christopher (Krisanne) Burgess of Chartiers Twp.; two sisters, Deborah Woods of Washington, Elizabeth (Richard) Jenkins of Fredericktown; many nieces and nephews, Rosylen, Christine, Joshua Fedd, Staff Sergeant Patrick, Benjamin, Shad and Brittany Burgess, Wayne Schmidt; a girlfriend, Darlene Roble.
Deceased is a brother, Martin G. “Skippy” Burgess.
