Stephen Michael Breese

Stephen Michael Breese, 28, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born March 31, 1985, in Washington, a son of Keith E. Breese of Washington and Brenda McCutcheon Miller of Washington. Mr. Breese was a 2003 graduate of McGuffey High School and attended West Virginia University. During high school, he lettered in football, baseball and wrestling. Mr. Breese played adult softball every summer and was an avid sports fan. He worked in mineshaft construction for RG Johnson for over six years. On October 2, 2011, he married Katherine “Katie” Schall, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Addison Rae Breese, at home; two brothers, Phillip Breese (Sandy) of Houston, and Brian Breese (Naomi) of Washington; a sister, Michelle Savage (Jeff) of Washington; two stepbrothers, Seth Allum (Michelle) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Zachary Allum of Washington; a stepsister, Samantha Allum of Washington; an aunt, Lorena (Tom) Pattison; cousins, Ryan, Brittany and Marissa; stepmother, Lori Allum; stepfather, William Miller; nieces and nephews, Abbie Breese, Landon Breese, Camren and Emily Savage, Ethan and Madeline Roman; and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Also surviving are his maternal grandmother, Juanita V. McCutcheon, and paternal grandparents, E. Homer Breese and Emmajo Breese, all of Claysville; Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, at 11 a.m. with Jill Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
