Mary Lee Hodinko

Mary Lee Hodinko, 78 of Washington, raised in Claysville, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Humbert Lane. She was born January 27, 1935 in Claysville, the daughter of Alvin H. Carl and Mary Sheller Carl who are deceased. Mary Lee was a graduate of Claysville High School and California State Teachers College. She was employed as an elementary teacher in Alexandria, VA for 10 years, Ravenswood, WV and Washington and was last a substitute at McGuffey. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Prosperity. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and traveling, especially family trips. On December 10, 1954 she married Robert George Hodinko who survives. Also surviving are a son, Douglas (Melissa) Hodinko of Canonsburg; a daughter, Debra Lee Hodinko of Washington; four grandchildren, Samuel, Hayden, Robert and Katie Hodinko. Friends will be received Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Services and burial are private.
