Beverly Louise Gatten, 78, of Washington, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2014, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family.
She was born on July 7, 1935, a daughter of the late, Ensley and Helen Cummins Kelsey.
A member of the Church of Christ, she had worked at the Cherry Tree, in the George Washington Hotel, where she had also been a banquet server.
Mrs. Gatten was a member of the Ladies of the MOOSE, Lodge #22, where she had been acfive in the dartball league for over 40 years.
Beverly loved animals, and the outdoors, especially spending time in the mountains.
On January 24, 1972, she married Jack Gaylord Gatten, who died on November 17, 2008.
Surviving are 5 sons, Jack Reihner, Sr., of Washington, Doug Gatten, of West Alexander, Dave Gatten, of New York, NY, William Reihner, of Erie, and Charles Reihner, of Washington; 2 daughters, Lisa Gatten and Amy Cox, both of Washington; a sister, Nancy Sanpietro, of Washington; 15 grandchildren, Josh, Chris, Jimmy, Zach, Cameron, Jennifer, MacKenzie, Megan, Dustin, Jordan, Christina, Preston, Chantel, Brennon, and Amanda; and 17 great grandchildren.
Deceased, are a daughter, Janet Pabian, a sister, Betty and a brother, Jimmy.
Friends will be received on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014, at 1:30, with Pastor Dan Lutz officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
