Phyllis Ann Foringer

Phyllis Ann Doak Foringer, 77 of Washington, died Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Washington Hospital, following a short illness. She was born December 5, 1936 in Washington, the daughter of Clarence M. Doak and Rose Kania Doak. Phyllis was a 1954 graduate of Trinity High School and was employed as a cafeteria worker at Trinity School District for 27 years. She was a member of Abundant Life Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family. On August 9, 1958 she married Duane E. Foringer who died March 14, 2007. Surviving are a son, Dennis (Bev) Foringer of Hickory; two daughters, Deborah Foringer and Brenda Foringer both of Washington; two grandchildren, Christopher Foringer and Tiffany Totterdale; five great grandchildren. Deceased is a sister Patricia Davis. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 21, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George Garancosky officiating.
