Larry Walter Zink, 71, of Washington, died Saturday, January 25, 2014, in his residence, after being in declining health for over a year.
He was born January 19, 1943, in Washington, a son of Walter Zink and Christine Fedis Zink.
Mr. Zink graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1960 and worked as a machine operator and crew leader at Precision Marshall for 40 years.
He was a former member of the Polish Club, Pulaski Club and the Horseshoe Club in Arden. Mr. Zink loved sports, especially bowling and golfing, as well as fishing and adult league softball.
He was Catholic by faith.
On January 3, 1972, he married Janet Shober, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Donald Nicholas Muncie and William Kevin (Tracy) Muncie, both of Washington; three daughters, Sonja Lynn (James) Kowcheck and Shelly Ann Zink, both of Washington, and Cynthia Marie Durham of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Barbara A. (James) Layman of Morgantown, West Virginia and Cathy J. (Dale) Berisford of St. Petersburg, Florida; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Brenda L. Kraus, and a brother, Ronald Zink.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 29th, with Father Thomas D. O’Neil officiating.
