Gertrude Veryl Ford

Gertrude Veryl Ford, 87 of Somerset Twp, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at Standish Assisted Living. She was born January 16, 1927 in Donora, the daughter of the late J. Foster Porter and Vera Bell Lawrence. Gertrude was a homemaker and enjoyed reading and gardening. On April 23, 1946, she married Paul Vernon Ford who died May 20, 2009. Surviving are three sons, Dennis P. Ford, Jeffrey S. Ford and Barry S. Ford all of Eighty Four; two daughters, Robynne L Moessner of Washington, Marilynne S. Mancuso of Huntersville, SC; eight grandchildren, Scott Ford, Michael Moessner, Matthew (Marcie) Moessner, Nathan (Christine) Mancuso, Jaimee (Jay) Hagerman, Hannah Ford, Stewart Ford and Logan Ford; five great grandchildren, Chloe and Eli Mancuso, Ryan and Adam Moessner and Arden Hagerman. Friends will be received Tuesday, March 4th, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, will services will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Munntown.
