Fred Joseph Woods, Jr., 34, of Uniontown, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh after fighting Cancer for ten years. He was born on April 28, 1979, in Washington, a son of Fred Woods, Sr. ( Kathleen ) of Washington and Donna Marie Roble Gump ( Ronald Pritts ) of Washington. Mr. Woods was a 1997 graduate of Trinity High School and played a variety of sports while in school. He worked hard as a Mason for many years after learning as a teen. He enjoyed all outdoor activities including hunting and fishing especially. Additionally, he enjoyed working on cars. In addition to his parents, his fiancé , Sascha McKay of Uniontown survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Peyton Michael Woods of Waynesburg and Braylon Davon Xavier Woods, of Uniontown; three brothers, James Michael Kress of Vestaburg, Jeffrey Lee Gump II and Ryan James Woods, both of Washington; and a sister Shelly Ann Woods ( Tim ) Vickers of Jefferson Hills. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Lillian ( Harold ) Hull, William Woods, Donald Earl Roble, Franklin O’Bryan and Katherine Plants. Friends of Fred Joseph Woods, Jr., 34, of Uniontown, who died Saturday, March 8, 2014, will be received on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Family is requesting donations be made to Fred Woods Memorial Fund, Wabellco Federal Credit Union, 1277 Park Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
