Maxine I. Roberts, 88, of Washington, died Friday, March 28, 2014, in Strabane Woods.
Mrs. Roberts formerly lived on the oldest family farm in Western Pennsylvania, established in 1787 and located on Roberts Road in Eighty Four.
She was born September 22, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle Glaum Davis.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Davidson United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
On June 6, 1957, she married D. Bruce Roberts, who died in 1999.
Surviving are a son, Randy Bruce Roberts (Lori) of Eighty Four; and two grandchildren, Amy Lynne Roberts, a freelance writer, of Nashville, Tennessee and Michael David Roberts, a student at Pitt Law School, of Pittsburgh.
She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are sisters Geraldine Berkey and Gail Jean Pearson; and brothers, Carl, Merle, Jack and Dale Davis.
Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 31, 2014. Private burial will be held in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Memorial contributions may be made to Davidson United Methodist Church, 1129 East National Pike, Washington, PA 15301.
