Raymond Charles Rock, 74, of Washington, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born August 7, 1939, in Meadowlands, a son of the late William Rock and Anna Shanto Rock.
Mr. Rock served in the Army from April 8, 1963, until his honorable discharge on March 27, 1965, as a Specialist, fourth class. While in the Army, he was stationed in Europe and worked in payroll.
Mr. Rock received an associate degree from Penn Commercial and worked as an accountant at the Bud Baer auto dealership for 42 years.
He was an avid golfer and proud grandpa.
Mr. Rock was a member of Washington Presbyterian Church in America and a former member of the Houston American Legion.
On April 1, 1967, he married Sylvia Klutch, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Daniel (Jennifer) Rock of South Park; a brother, Richard (Sandra) Rock of Meadowlands; and three grandchildren, Hunter, Riley and Cade Rock.
Deceased are a brother, William Rock, and a sister, Shirley Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 2nd, in Washington Presbyterian Church in America, 100 Humbert Lane, Washington, with Rev. Donald Waltermyer officiating. Private burial will be held in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
