Beloved “Meema”
Dorothy “Skip” Celani, 78, of Washington, died Friday, April 18, 2014.
She was born July 4, 1935, in Washington, a daughter of Jesse and Donice Laughlin Barrett.
Mrs. Celani was a 1954 graduate of Trinity High School and attended Immaculate Conception Church.
She worked as a selector-packer at Ball Glass for seven years and at Glenshaw Glass for 10 years.
Mrs. Celani was a beloved and adored “Meema” to her grandchildren.
On May 14, 1955, she married Richard Celani, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael Celani (Kathy) and Richard Celani (Carol); two daughters, Tina Celani and Jeanine Courtwright (Stephen); two brothers, Donald “Bud” Barrett and Robert Barrett, all of Washington; a sister, Judith Sensky of Euclid, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Celina Farabaugh (Jeff), Stephen Courtwright (Amy), Trisha Celani, Leah Celani, Alec Celani, Nicole Celani, Matthew Egan (Nina), and Michelle Czolba; great grandchildren, Ashley, Hannah, Simon and Lorenzo; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 22nd.
