Richard Anthony Kaposy Sr., 71, of Washington, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, in his home.He was born November 23, 1942, in Independence, a son of Anthony Kaposy and Agnes Georgetti Kaposy.Mr. Kaposy was a graduate of Avella High School and was an ironworker for Local 3.He attended Trinity Bible Fellowship and was a member of McDonald Sportsmen's Club.Mr. Kaposy enjoyed target shooting and groundhog hunting, and he loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed cooking and baking for others.On November 23, 2013, he married Debbie Cox, who survives.Also surviving are two sons, Richard Anthony (LeAnne) Kaposy Jr. of Imperial and Scott Lee (Misty) Kaposy of Florida; a daughter, Tammy Lynn (Joseph) Stanish of North Carolina; two stepdaughters, Meghan Dillie of Washington and Marissa Dillie of Tennessee; two sisters, Alberta (Homer) Marshall of Burgettstown and Rose Kaposy of Washington; 10 grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and a great-grandchild.Deceased are a brother, Eugene Kaposy; a sister, Frances McNary; and a grandson, Joshua Stanish.Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, April 27, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Donna L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be private.
