Edward Leroy “Butch” Hemelrick, 69 of Claysville, formerly of Prosperity, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Golden Living Nursing Home in McMurray.
He was born January 11, 1945 in Washington, the son of William Harold Hemelrick and Opal Marie Powell Hemelrick.
Mr. Hemelrick graduated from Washington High School and was a mechanic.
He loved going to auctions and his two pets, Sissy and Suzy.
On September 23, 1968 he married Sandra Shaner who survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, James Frances (Betty) Hemelrick of Florida, Charles Alfred (Mary) Hemelrick of Claysville; father in law, Gerald Shaner; three nieces, Brenda (Randy) Hanning, Cathy (Chris) Bushnell, Tracie (Craig) Six; two nephews, Chris (Andrea) Hemelrick, Michael (Sherrie) Hemelrick; great niece, Autumn Lynn Hemelrick.
Deceased are a son, Robert DeWayne Hemelrick; a brother, Donald Eugene Hemelrick; a niece, Brenda Marie Hemelrick; three nephews, Terry Lyn, Charles Alfred Hemelrick Jr. an infant baby boy Hemelrick; mother in law, Edith Mae “Honey” Shaner; great nieces and nephews, Randy Dale Hanning Jr., Franklin Hanning, Logan Tetreault, Tiffany Hemelrick; sister in law, Barbara Shaner.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church in West Alexander. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington.
