Joseph Orsen Barni, 49, of Washington, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
He was born April 4, 1965, in Phoenix, Arizona, a son of Josie Kershinsky Barni of Washington and the late George Louis Barni.
Mr. Barni graduated from Washington High School in 1983 and attended drafting school.
He was the owner-operator of the Station Bar for 32 years and was also a commercial construction contractor.
Mr. Barni was active in Cub Scouts with his son and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing, and recently began farming.
He was a member of St. Hilary Church.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Mary Johnson; a son, Jeremiah O. Barni; a daughter, Joie O. Barni, both at home; two half-brothers, Allan Barni of Canonsburg and Gary Barni of Johnstown; a sister, Janette Barni of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday from 5 till 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
