On May 10, 2014, Joseph Snedeker, of Finleyville, peacefully passed away of natural causes. He was the son of the late Leroy and Gladys Snedeker.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 48 years, his loving son, daughter, brother, sister-in-law, sister, brother-in-law, two grandchildren, one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe graduated from Canon-McMillan High School in 1962. He patriotically served in the U.S. Air Force, with an honorable discharge. After retiring from a proud career as a heavy equipment mechanic in 2010, Joe enjoyed traveling to Florida, spending time with family, and watching Steelers, Pirates and Penguins games.
He will be deeply missed, with undying love.
The family is requesting donations be made in the name of Joseph Snedeker, in lieu of flowers, to the American Lung Association or Friendship Community Church in Washington, Pennsylvania.
A celebration of his life will be held at Friendship Community Church, 1090 Weirich Avenue, Washington, on Friday, May 16th at 7 p.m.
