Rose Iona Pierson, 76 of Claysville, died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at home.
She was born December 27, 1937 in Wheeling, WV, the daughter of Wilbur Creighton and Dorothy Craig Creighton.
She was a graduate of Trinity High School, was a counselor at Washington Women’s Shelter, and owned and operated Sam’s Place Personal Care Home for several years.
Rose was a member of Friendship Community Church and the Rebecca Lodge. She enjoyed crafts, painting, playing bingo and dart ball at Century Plaza.
Surviving are a son, Bradley Earl Walker Sr. of Claysville; a daughter, Kimberly (Dennis) Jackson of Claysville; two brothers, Ralph Creighton of West Salem, OH and Paul Creighton of FL; five grandchildren, Danielle Jackson, Martin Jackson, Bradley Walker Jr., Brant Walker and Cheyenne Walker.
Deceased is her first husband, Earl L. Walker, second husband, William Pierson; a daughter, Cindy Lee Walker; a brother, James Franklin Creighton.
Friends will be received Friday, May 16, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington. Burial will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m, Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi, OH.
