Roger Lee White, 54 of Buffalo Township, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Washington Hospital.
He was born June 21, 1959 in Washington the son of Marian Post Mounts of Buffalo Township and the late Ronald White.
Roger graduated from McGuffey High School and served in the U.S. Navy as a cook on the USS Comte De Grasse.
He was a nurse’s aide at Providence Hospital in South Carolina.
Roger loved animals, especially his dogs. He enjoyed fishing.
Also surviving are two brothers, Harold L. (Shelley) White of Washington, Donald R. White of Claysville; a sister, Phyllis (John) Ross of Buffalo Township; step father, John D. Mounts; two step brothers, Jeffery A. (Torrie) Mounts of AZ, John D. (Carrie) Mounts of Washington; two step sisters, Donna J. (Bryan) Miles of Williamstown, KY, Barbara L. (Danny) Bergles of Claysville; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his father are maternal grandparents, Harold W. and Hilda B. Post; paternal grandparents, Lynn and Grace White; step grandparents Abe and Rosella Mounts.
Friends will be received Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Monday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow at Claysville Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Post #175.
