Paul Hansen, 80, of Washington, died May 30, 2014, in Donnell House.
He was born September 5, 1933, in Bradford, a son of the late Richard Hansen and Anna Giltinan Hansen.
Mr. Hansen graduated from St. Bonaventure University in Olean, NY, where he studied engineering. For 35 years, he worked for Chapman Corporation in their sheet metal division.
Mr. Hansen was an expert carpenter and repairperson and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his dog, Bronco, and enjoyed fishing and watching Western movies and the Steelers.
Mr. Hansen was a member of Grace Brethren Church and SNPJ.
On May 9, 2013, he married his companion of 30 years, Takako Tanaka.
Surviving are two sons, L. Douglas Ranegar and Daryl (Shelly) Ranegar; a daughter, Darlene (Darrell) Wise, all of Washington; a sister, Dolores Mangel of Perry, Florida; grandchildren, Earl, Kristy (Brian), Dougie, Christopher (Carly), Miranda, Justin (Kara), Kylie (Mike), Tyler and Zack; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Kaden, Kaleigh, Devin, Taylor, Peyton and Zhayd; several nieces and nephews including Susan Perry (David) Dall, Sharon, Barbara, William (Kim) and Dennis (Angelina); great-nieces, Angela and Dusty; great nephews, Adam, Scott and Shane; great-great nieces and nephews, Mia, Collin, Jayden and Alexis.
Deceased are brothers, Lawrence, who died in infancy, Earl, Harold and Clayton; a sister, Dorothy; a brother-in-law, Donald Mangel; and a nephew, Gregory (Cindy).
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Tom Ricker officiating. Private burial will be held in Washington Cemetery at a later date.
